Exemplaire sur un flan large et irrégulier, bien centré des deux côtés. Très beau portrait d’Eucratide avec la stemma visible. Revers de style fin, de frappe un peu molle inhabituel. Jolie patine de médaillier avec des reflets dorés

BACTRIA - BACTRIAN KINGDOM - EUCRATIDES II
(145-140 BC)
It is up to O. Bopearachchi to have confirmed the existence of two Eucratids. He has completely revised the chronology of these kings who reigned on the borders of Hellenism, at the gates of India, on the borders of present-day Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. Eucratides I died assassinated by one of his sons around 145 BC. Was Eucratides II this one? He reigned for about five years over the kingdom of Bactria. He is a contemporary of Heliocles.
