Exemplaire sur un petit flan étroit, bien centré des deux côtés. Très beau portrait. Frappe un peu molle au revers

Poids léger. Avec son argenture superficielle. La toga palmata (manteau consulaire) est ornée de palmettes. Robe consulaire timbrée d’une couronne fermée. Globe 47. Cassure de coin au niveau de la marque d’atelier.

Caesar
Born in February 317 according to the most recent chronology, Constantine the Younger receives on coins the title of Caesar like his half-brother Crispus and his cousin Licinius, as well as the title of Prince of Youth. Constantine II is the eldest son of Constantine I and Fausta. In September 337, he received the "pars occidentalis" from the Empire with subjection to his brother Constans, Constantius II having the "pars orientalis". Very quickly, Constantin and Constans fall out. The eldest is eliminated in April 340.
