Pour ce type, M Crawford a recensé une estimation inférieure à trente coins de droit et inférieure à trente coins de revers. Ce denier est en fait encore beaucoup plus rare que ne le laissent supposer les ouvrages généraux.

Историческая справка

DOMITIUS AHENOBARBUS

(+ 32 BC.)

Cneius Domitius Ahenobarbus is the son of Lucius Domitius Ahenobarbus in 54 BC. Present at the battle of Pharsalus, he may not have participated in the assassination of Caesar in 44 BC, but followed Brutus and Cassius in Macedonia. He was condemned by the lex Pedia as the murderer of Caesar. He commanded the Republican fleet and as such defeated the Caesarian fleet commanded by Domitius Calvinus in 42 BC in the Ionian Sea before the Battle of Philippi. He was then proclaimed Imperator. He then joined Antony in 40 BC and was appointed governor of Bithynia. He took part in Marc Antoine's expedition against the Parthians. Consul in 32 BC, he had to leave Rome after the break between Marc Antoine and Octave. He joined Antony at Ephesus, but fell out with him and betrayed him shortly before the Battle of Actium in 32 BC and sided with Octavian. He died shortly afterwards. He is the paternal great-grandfather of Nero..
