Реверс: Описание: Victoire à droite retournant la tête, tenant une croix, avec une étoile et une sorte de V dans le champ ; légende circulaire.

Комментарий

L'exemplaire n° 40 du Musée de Lyon est le seul à avoir les caractéristiques de cette monnaie ; l'étoile et la lettre (un A renversé) dans le champ. La "boucle perdue" est assez peu visible derrière la tête en raison d'une frappe molle.

UNSPECIFIED FRIEZE

(6th century)

During this period, still poorly defined, many triens imitating the Byzantine coins of Justinian are made. The strikes are first quite close to the prototypes, then escalate. They are imitated in the Frankish kingdoms of Burgundy. The imperial titulature there is very quickly altered. The qualifier "lost loop" which characterizes the ribbon of the tiara has become common to designate these coins.
