Аверс: описание: Tête ceinte d’un bandeau à gauche, la chevelure indiquée par trois mèches, le cou par deux petits traits.

Реверс: легенда: ANÉPIGRAPHE.
Реверс: Описание: Sanglier enseigne à gauche, la queue en une sorte d’annelet ; double volute sur une ligne d'exergue pointée en son centre et à ses extrémités, surmontée d’un motif en forme de croix oblique.
Комментарий
Ce revers, appartenant à la classe Ib, a la particularité d’avoir la croix élevée et inclinée (cf. Zürich n°568). Cette variante semble rare. On distingue sur cet exemplaire le trou dans la partie supérieure du bandeau.

The Leuques are mentioned only once in the Gallic Wars. Their neighbors were the Médiomatriques, the Lingons and the Séquanes. The Leuques as well as the Séquanes and the Lingones provided Caesar with wheat when the Roman army stopped at Vesontio (Besançon) to refuel before facing the Germans of Ariovistus (58 BC).
