Exemplaire sur un flan large et irrégulier, bien centré des deux côtés avec les grènetis visibles. Très beau portrait de Maurice Tibère avec une faiblesse de frappe sur la légende. Joli revers, bien venu à la frappe. Très belle patine verte

Maurice succeeded his father-in-law Tiberius II. After great victories over the Sassanids, he suffered many setbacks in the Balkans and could not prevent the installation of the Slavs and Avars. A military plot overthrew him in 602. He was assassinated while trying to take refuge with Chosroes II.
