Аверс: описание: Galère voguant à gauche, ornée d'un masque de lion avec deux hoplites à l'intérieur ; gouvernail ; au-dessous, les flots, un hippocampe et un coquillage couché (murex).

Комментарий

Poids très léger Il est impossible de déterminer avec certitude à quelle période appartient ce seizième de shekel. Type plus ancien. J. et A. G. Elayi pour ce type ont recensé vingt exemplaires avec trois coins de droit et six coins de revers identifiés. Mêmes coins que l’exemplaire reproduit dans l’ouvrage sur Byblos (n° 1544, pl. 24). C’est la première fois que nous présentons ce type à la vente.
