Exemplaire sur un flan large et irrégulier pour ce type monétaire. Légèrement décentré au droit sur le portrait d’Héraklès. Très joli revers de style fin. Belle patine marron foncé

Комментарий
Poids léger. Cette série de petits bronzes semblent très rare et peu abondante. C’est la première fois que nous proposons une monnaie de cet atelier.

SICILY - THERMAI
(5th - 3rd century BC)
Himère was destroyed by the Carthaginians in 408 BC. The inhabitants had to go into exile. However some of them had the right to settle on the borders of the territory of their ancient city and so it was that they founded Thermai or Thermae Himerenses (of Himera). The many fountains of the new city were reputed to have refreshed Herakles during his journey around Sicily. The city was conquered by the Romans during the first Punic war in 252 BC. Augustus made it a colony.
